Maths exists everywhere in the world around you. The purpose of Functional Skills Maths is to equip you with the mathematical skills to put to use in your working and everyday life.
We can teach you the skills and knowledge you require to achieve up to Level 2 Mathematics in a fun and relevant way.
We do this through integrating other topics and specialisms such as angles and measurements for Carpentry, ratio in Painting and Decorating and proportion for cooking tasty meals in Hospitality.

The Bricklaying course is a Level 1 Certificate in Construction Crafts (QCF) and is designed to provide an introduction to the construction industry. The certificate will explore skills, knowledge and techniques needed for Bricklaying. Within the course, students will not only understand construction but environmental and health and safety issues. The students are encouraged to work on discussions as a group and develop their own skills independently. Students are taken on trips to places like Aston Hall so they can explore different types of Brickwork. This qualification is a practical course that allows students to progress on to further vocational learning in Construction.
